After being drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks, Bill Comrie chooses to take over the family business after the passing of his father Herb.

1971

Bill opens the first store, Bill Comrie's Furniture Warehouse.

Bill Comrie moves Bill Comrie's Furniture Warehouse to a new building in downtown Edmonton, renaming it The Brick Warehouse.

The Brick introduces its first HomeShow Canada, a new 110,000 sq. ft. concept store in the Toronto Area. It is later rebranded to Brick Superstore.
